It’s about knowing, rather than not knowing.  We are, after all, one healthcare system — and, as such, we should be able to transfer data automatically, easily, efficiently.  By accomplishing this, HealthShare Exchange will allow us to better know the status of our members, as we permit provider hospitals, in turn, to know and collaborate with each member’s full care team.

HSX is very progressive as an HIE. To be part of that and to be part of a community that is really looking to improve lives and improve outcomes…I think brings value to whatever organization you are.

Having this data repository and this information available electronically and digitally to the healthcare providers in this region on an almost instantaneous basis is critically important. It’s something we’re very proud of that we’ve helped to build here at HSX.

Doctors, hospitals, and insurers must work together to improve healthcare quality, lower costs, and improve satisfaction.  One way that will happen for our region is by creating a superior health information exchange, such as HealthShare Exchange.  Comprehensive patient care information will help doctors make more-informed decisions.
