Bilson, Dr. D’Andre Carpenter and Dr. Don Klingen to its Board of Trustees. As part of the HSX governance team, these new board members will coordinate and oversee the overall direction of HSX’s programs and platforms.

Joseph P. Bilson is the Chief Executive Officer at Wills Eye Hospital, the oldest continually operating eye-care facility in the United States. During his tenure, Mr. Bilson has led the hospital through aggressive program development and robust financial performance during some of the harshest global economic periods on record. He has also strategically planned and developed a successful network of multi-state ambulatory surgery centers; implemented major projects like Wills on Wheels; oversaw construction of a state-of-the art Diagnostic Testing Center; and launched the Wills Eye Knowledge Portal for online ophthalmic medical education.
Dr. D’Andre Carpenter, DNP, MS-ISM, RN, RN-BC, serves as the Senior Vice President, Enterprise Chief Nursing Informatics Officer (CNIO) & Enterprise Analytics with Jefferson Health, one of the largest Integrated Delivery Health Networks in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He previously served in an Informatics Senior Leadership role at Baylor Scott & White Health in Dallas, TX.
Dr. Donald Klingen is the Chief Medical Information Officer and a Senior Vice President for Main Line Health, responsible for the enterprise application division of the Information Services and Clinical Informatics departments. Most recently, he served as Main Line Health’s interim Chief Information Officer and coordinated the Main Line Health Information Services department response and system support for the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Klingen also led the launch of Epic across all service lines and locations, as well as the creation of the Clinical Informatics department.
