Philadelphia, Pa., October 19, 2015 — HealthShare Exchange of Southeastern Pennsylvania (HSX) has been pushing the boundaries of health information exchange, building a healthcare-enabling resource unique in its scale and –– with healthcare provider and insurer participation –– in its design as well. The Philadelphia Business Journal has now recognized HSX’s achievements and potential with its Health Care Innovator Award, a recognition of the organization’s leadership role in healthcare.
The nonprofit HSX is a health information organization, supported by some 40 hospitals and three health plans serving Philadelphia and its surrounding counties. HSX has established the Delaware Valley’s regional health information exchange (HIE).
This Thursday, October 22, 2015, the Philadelphia Business Journal will honor HSX and other innovative organizations, individuals, and products in the region’s healthcare industry at an event at the Crystal Tea Room, from 5:00-8:00 PM.
