In May, physicians and other clinical leaders from HealthShare Exchange of Southeastern Pennsylvania (HSX) member organizations met at the Philadelphia College of Physicians to discuss latest strides in the region’s health information exchange and the importance of clinicians championing use of the new services within their organizations. The accomplished group of attendees reviewed early experience with exchange data and its impact on care.
Among outcomes, HSX’s Clinical Champions Workgroup formed over the summer and held its kick-off meeting last week. Physicians and other providers who have had touch points with the region’s new health information exchange are enthusiastic about assisting in healthcare provider engagement with, and adoption of, the new services.
