At Einstein, Ken works with other senior leaders and board members to explore initiatives that help Einstein to continue its mission by expanding its geographic reach, attracting more patients, improving the accessibility of care, and assessing opportunities for strategic partnerships and alliances. He also has oversight of the human resources, information services, and government relations departments at Einstein.
Ken returned to Einstein from Ernst & Young, where he was an executive director leading the Healthcare Provider Information Technology Practice. At EY, Ken led teams that helped healthcare clients across the country with a variety of projects, such as EMR implementations, information systems strategic plans, IT department transformations, cyber security assessments, and analytics planning /implementation projects.
Prior to EY, Ken was on the leadership team at Einstein for 10 years as the institution’s chief information officer. During his tenure as CIO, Einstein received the IT Innovator Award of Excellence from the Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies, for its electronic medical records system. He oversaw the successful deployment of more than $25 million dollars of IT equipment and software to support the opening of Einstein’s newest hospital, Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. Ken was also the inaugural chair at Einstein of the Victor L. and Joan M. Johnson Chair of Information Technology.
